About Us...
We are situated in a valley in the Los Filabres mountain range of Almeria and surrounded by almond and olive trees with no immediate neighbours. Our nearest shops are ten minutes away by car so forget about being in walking distance of a bar! However, we are more than happy to take you to the local villages if you fancy a night out or you can enjoy our well stocked bar without have to move from your sun-lounger or bird hide.
We can cater for all culinary tastes, from vegan to full-on carnivores. Everything is cooked fresh using the best local produce - no processed food here! We eat and drink al fresco when the weather is on our side (which is most of the time), and we like our guests to feel relaxed and at home.
Most of our guests so far have chosen to hire a car so that they can explore the local surrounding area and birdwatching haunts independantly, but for those that don't want to drive we can provide transport to and from the airport and trips out if required, so there is no need to feel isolated.
When the sun is shining, it is always hot here... We had some friends over this year who were sunbathing in early February! However, the following week it turned chilly so we can't 100% guarantee hot weather until June through to September.
We have never found it stifling here but during the day in high summer we wouldn't recommend a hike! Chilling out, reading, generally reharging the batteries is what it's all about here. In the warmer months there is great nightlife in the villages when fiesta season is full swing. Whole families from grandparents to tots flock to the village plazas at midnight and dance to live music until six in the morning. We have been to many fiestas through the area and they are always great fun. All the bars are family oriented so there is always a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere
